This particular goldtop is special because Wildwood spec'd it out with a '60s slim C neck profile reminiscent of the one you'd find on a 1960 Les Paul. They wanted to offer players who like the goldtop's stylish profile but prefer a sleeker neck profile, and it turned out great! This thing plays like Crisco-coated butter, and its playability meets the gold standard set by its tone. Plus, it's kind of a cool piece of historical fiction—it makes us imagine some fellow on the Gibson assembly line zoning out in 1957 and sanding the neck down way too far, then hoping Ted McCarty doesn't notice! If you like goldtops and fast sixties feel, you'll love this guitar!
